Salted Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ooey Gooey Sweetness with some crunch.

Preheat oven to 375.

1 heaping C flour.

Add 1/2 C Crisco - I won't use any other shortening.

1/2 t salt.

Cut together with pastry cutter until crumbly.

Add about 3 - 4 T cold water and mix until it sticks together.
You may need to add a few more Tablespoons of water. You
want the mixture to just start sticking together.

Place on floured surface.

Roll out large enough to cover pie plate.

Turn the edges over and trim off excess. Then crimp the edges.

This is the filling for this delish pie. So simple yet sinfully rich.

Melt 2 T butter.

Add and mix into the melted butter 3 eggs, 1 C light corn syrup,
1 C sugar and 1 t. vanilla.

Wisk together.

1 C pecan halfs

Coresly chop chocolate chips - about 1/2 C

Add the pecan halves to the mixture and mix together. Dump
into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle the chocolate on top. Bake at
375 about 30 minutes - until the pie gets a little poofy and is
browned.

Let pie cool off for 15-20 minutes and the sprinkle with sea salt.
