While you all were out with the rest of the crazies I was snuggled in bed, dreaming dreams. While you were dashing from store to store before breakfast I was stretching and yawning. But, I will guarantee you I got the best Black Friday Deal of all.
Two of my wigglies spent the night with Farmer and me while their mom and dad joined the rest of the frantic, pushing, shoving crowds.
Actually they did get some good deals and saved a bunch of money and we were thrilled to help.
My wigglies were my Deal. Thursday night we had popcorn and a movie.
We snuggled before breakfast. Played Candy Land, Sequence, and colored. Wiggliette really wanted to play Barbie. I said to her “ I don’t know how to play Barbie.” She giggled, “All you have to do Grammy is walk and talk. Just walk and talk nice, that’s all.” So I walked and talked with Barbie and hung out at the barn (we borrowed from the Little People). We had a pet calf called Short Tail and a giraffe named Long Neck.
Brother Wigglie took Barbie when she wasn’t looking and shoved her in the barn’s loft. It made me think of how my four boys would have played with Barbie. There would have been limbs torn off and battle wounds galore.
We also did what we almost always do when there’s time at Grammies. Baked cookies. Taking turns measuring, dumping and mixing are part of the recipe. They are getting quite good at cracking and adding eggs. Wigglie #2 is a perfect scooper.
Too soon, it was time to go home. I listened to son and daughter-in-law's good deals and was thrilled they got them and that we helped.
I was also thinking to myself, “Yep, you got some good deals, BUT I got the best Black Friday Deal anywhere".
