America is the Home of the Brave and Land of the Free because of many hard working, courageous, integrity filled men and women.
But, what are we becoming?
Lazy, apathetic, entitlement thinking men and women abound in this country.
What ever happened to a hard day’s work for a day’s wages? Now, I can sit on my butt and let the rest of you working public pay my way. And too many are doing just that.
In fact, our government encourages that very thing. I know of an unwed mother that had a job and was getting assistance. She was able to improve herself and earned a $2 dollar an hour raise. But by doing so her monetary help slid from $600.00 per month to $17.00 per month. Her extra $2 raise by no means made up the difference. So, what’s a mother to do? Stay at the lower paying level, while feeding her kids or step up to make a better life while letting her kids hunger and not have a home? What ever happened to common sense with our government? Why not give her the difference in assistance so she can continue to move forward and become more self-sufficient?
Oh, there’s that word, self-sufficient.
It’s my belief that we are so far away from the plans and purposes of our fore fathers that the government is creating a population to be dependent on the government.
Things are so twisted.
And, it doesn’t have to be that hard.
Let’s go back to the beginning and start there. Too many men and women have paid the ultimate price and still do in order to maintain our Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. Thank you to all the men and women who do step up and are representatives of this great Republic and for what it was created.
