This is a personal farm fact. Last night we had to chop about 50 acres of hay right back on the ground instead of in wagons to feed to the cows. The hay had been rained on too many times. We mowed it - it rained. We merged it - it rained. We raked it - it rained. We raked it again - it rained. We had to get it off the field so the new crop would grow. So, we chopped it right back into the field. I figured I could have flown from Los Angeles to Paris almost four times for the cost of the feed we had to dump. Such is farming. The saga continues . . .
