Today seems like a good random day to ramble.
I just had two Jehovah Witness gentlemen at my door. I told them I appreciate their zeal and commitment, but as a follower of Christ they might find their time better used with someone else. He said he appreciated my honesty and they went on their way.
Their visit got me thinking. Why is it when it comes to door to door religious peddling we automatically think of that religion? Are the rest of us as committed to our beliefs if we aren’t willing to put a little shoe to the pavement and share? Would it be advantageous to go door to door? How many of those visits would be favorable?
My personal beliefs on that subject are many, but I think mainly we just have to live our faith, be our faith and share our faith when the opportunity comes.
Today the only white I see are barns, Ag bags and hoop barn roofs. No fluffy, cold, or sparkly white is left in my immediate area. That is a good thing.
Also, with the high winds yesterday it really helped to dry out the muddy driveways and fields. It’s possible that within 5 weeks we will be in the fields. This time of year for farmers is like the last few days before Christmas for kids. Warm weather, light breezes, sunny days, the rumble of the tractors, the bouncing along in the fields are all things that make a farmer’s heart sing.
Thought I’d end this post with some pictures from last Spring to help us hang on until the real deal shows up.
