Following is the saga of Tractor Supply Company and our family. The pictures are mine from behind the scenes. When we receive the "real, professional, awesome" pictures from the most talented Greg Latza I will share those too. Ready for the saga?
A few months ago two gals stopped on the road to take a picture of this barn that belongs to Son #2. Farmer went out and spoke to them and they explained they were looking for locations to do a photo shoot for Tractor Supply Company.
Long story short, they signed Farmer, Son #2, his wife, Wigglie #2, their dog Charlie, Son #3 his dog Zeus, Son #4 and his wife to be used as models for their job.
Apparently I, a chubby hard working mature farm wife wasn't what they were looking for - HA!
I did receive a phone call later and was asked if they could hire me to iron the clothing for the shoot. Sure no problem. The "no problem" turned into a pallet of clothing weighing 400 pounds.

Freight delivery of the clothes. |

This is just some of the clothing. |

This is how most of the clothing was labeled and I had to keep it that way. |

Farmer getting his make up done. |
Hair and makeup artist extraordinaire, Kylie Evans was awesome. She's makeup artist to the stars. She has worked many music videos. Check out her site and see her work,
http://www.kylieevans.net/. We had a great time hearing about her work and the jobs she's done. She is as sweet as she is beautiful.

Zeus is cute enough. He needs no help in the makeup department. |

Our awesome photographer, Greg Latza lives in South Dakota. He was very instrumental in creating a fun relaxed atmosphere. He's more than amazing. Check out his site: http://www.greglatza.com/ you will be blown away. He also is an author with many books to his credit. I followed him around asking questions and he never seemed annoyed with me once. Farmer should take lessons. I would love to sit and pick his brain. You really need to go to his site and enjoy his work: http://www.greglatza.com/. |

Make up touch up. |

The owner of the farm trapped a raccoon the night before. They used it in the photos in the back of this cool truck. Zeus wasn't too sure about it. |

One of the many shirt changes. |
|
Even though measurements were taken the shirts were too big. This one was clipped in the front for a shot of the back of the shirt while Son #3 chopped wood. |

Sprinkling dirt on top of the log so it would be more dramatic in the picture. |

Make up on Son #2. Never thought I'd be saying that! |

Son #3 enjoying the makeup - not! |

Wigglie with make up. His face says it all. |

Daughter-in-law #3 getting ready. As beautiful as she is, she didn't need much. |

Fixing clothes - a never ending job. |

Daughter-in-law #2 getting make up. Once again, she is beautiful without it and I think it was easy for Kylie. |

Clipping the back of the too large shirt. |

Wigglie #2 found these two toads. Remember the raccoon? Wigglie was back in the barn by the raccoon and one of these jumped off his hand and landed in the cage. The coon snatched him up for a snack. Buh-Bye Toadie. |

This was my view off to the side. I am excited to see Gregg's photos. |

Getting direction about using the chain saw. Poor Daughter-in-law #3. Not only was she hot in the coveralls she was/is extremely afraid of wasps and there were plenty flying. |

Wiping sweat off faces. Remember it's August in winter wear. |

Back at our farm there were two little ones to capture on film. Greg spent a lot of time laying around getting just the right shot. Laying in dirt, hay fields and whatever else was there. |

Son #2 chasing his cows to the other side of the barn to make the photo more attractive. |

Wigglie #8 with his daddy. |

We brought a calf out for a photo. What you didn't see was four of us chasing that little sucker around the barn. |

This was my view, looking forward to seeing what Greg captured. |

This was the fabulous crew. Tracie and Mary Love from TSC, Ashley the coordinator, Kylie our
hair and makeup artist and Greg the awesome photographer. |
This was a first for our family. These people work so hard making everything right. They spent a lot of time taking care of us, making sure we were comfortable.
We were photographed on day three so there were others involved and we shall see how many of our family's pictures will be used. Tuesday Greg shot 5346 pictures, Wednesday 3882 pictures and Thursday with us 3285. If used they will be in all their stores around the country, above the clothing racks, in catalogs, flyers and any other print. I personally think my kids look waaaaay better than any other models but I don't have a voice in the matter.
Everyone we met were such professionals yet so kind and made all of us feel welcome and at ease.
When we were done and saying our good-byes I mentioned how much fun we had that I was sad that we probably would never see each other again.
Here's hoping we do.
