The Caught Shall be Loosed

When I came home the other day my niece and soon to be nephew were on the back porch relaxing after being in the pool. I went out to say hello and they pointed to a hummingbird that was caught in our skylight or whatever you want to call it - the window in the roof.

Anyway, that has happened before and we found a dead one and we didn't want that repeated.

I found a net out in the garage and Farmer and nephew worked to get it down.

After a few tries the bird was caught in the net. We then had to get his beak and claws untangled. Such a tiny thing. But we untangled him and off he went.
