Robert Redford Dessert
This is an old recipe from long ago.
I was in a hurry making Sunday dinner and failed to take
pictures like I normally do. I think the directions will be clear
enough to make this easy.
Ingredients:
1 C flour
½ C butter
1 C pecans, finely chopped
1 8 ou. package of cream cheese, softened
1 C powdered sugar
4 ou. package instant chocolate pudding
4 ou. package instant vanilla pudding
3 c milk
Crust:
Mix together:
1 C flour
1 C chopped pecans
½ C softened butter
Press into 9X13 pan. I double this because I like a thicker crust.
Bake 350 for 20 minutes. Cool completely.
Next layer:
Beat together:
8 ou. softened cream cheese – plan ahead and leave
the cream cheese out at room temperature
to soften it.
1 C powdered sugar
½ container of Cool Whip – 8 ou. – I normally use
real whip cream, but if you’re in a hurry Cool
Whip
will do.
Spread over cooled crust.
Next layer:
Mix together and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes:
4 ou. instant chocolate pudding
4 ou. instant vanilla pudding
3 C milk
Spread over cream cheese layer.
Next layer:
Spread the rest of the Cool Whip over the pudding layer.
You can garnish with grated chocolate.
Refrigerate until ready to eat this delicious dessert.
